Goodbye, ABC.
Built in 1875 as the Diorama and burning in 2018 as the O2 ABC, this building entertained Glasgow for 143 years.
Now, it’s being torn down, to be replaced by yet another block of student accommodation, and Glasgow has lost another venue.
No more nights out, loud music, sticky floors or drunk Glaswegians laughing in the smoking area.
It showed films, it was a venue, it was a circus and at one point even an ice rink.
This project celebrates all that this building has been.
Goodbye Hengler’s Circus, The Panorama, The ABC. Yes, it will soon be gone, but the stories it created will never die.
